Two brothers arrested for assaulting 4 people at temple

Panchkula police have arrested two brother for allegedly assaulting four persons including three women at a temple in Sector 10 on Saturday evening.

Panchkula police have arrested two brother for allegedly assaulting four persons including three women at a temple in Sector 10 on Saturday evening.

The two brothers arrested have been identified as Rajesh Kumar and Ashok Kumar,both residents of Sector 10.

The incident took place at around 5.45 pm when a group of two dozen men and women were performing puja in the temple and a few children burst crackers and threw them towards the temple.

“Some people in the temple raised objection on the behaviour of the children,Rajesh arrived at the scene along with his brother and entered into an argument. The argument led to alleged assault on four persons including three women,” police said. Those four injured in the incident were identified as Indo,Seema,Mohindra and Ramesh- all residents of Panchkula.

A case under sections 323,354 and 506 of Indian Penal Code was registered in police post Sector 10. “ We have arrested the two brother and the injured have been taken for medical examinations,” the police post incharge,Assistant Sub Inspector,Surjeet Singh said.
