A day after a private bus,coming from Rajasthan,fell off the overbridge on Jambuva river,a truck fell down from the same spot killing the driver and the helper on the spot. Makarpura police said the truck,which was going to Dehradun,was travelling at a very high speed,which led to the mishap.
The incident happened on Thursday around 5.45 am. Preliminary investigation shows that the truck was speeding down the road. While crossing the newly-constructed overbridge,the driver lost control and hit the left railing and fell into the dry riverbed, said Sub-Inspector K K Parmar.
He added that the bodies have been sent for postmortem. The deceased have been identified as Satish Kumar Shera Singh of Dehradun and Vipin Kumar Rajinderpal Singh from Ludhiana.
On Tuesday,a bus carrying about 61 passengers from Dungarpur district in Rajasthan fell from bridge on Jambuva. One passenger died on Wednesday while 32 others sustained serious injuries.
