Two men in illegal possession of drugs and psychotropic substances were arrested in the city today and they have been booked under the NDPS Act.
In the first incident, Vicky, a resident of sector 56 was arrested from the Paddy Mandi chowk on Wednesday and 2 kg ganja and 150 grams of charas was recovered from him. "We have registered a case against the accused and further investigation is going on to ascertain the details of suppliers and clients he was dealing with," a police officer said.
In another incident, Som Pal, a resident of Bapudham colony was arrested near Kabir temple in Bapudhaam colony on Wednesday night and 120 grams of charas was recovered from him, another police officer said.
