  • Two churches at Akaparambu near Cochin International Airport were attacked on Saturday night. A statue of Christ in the cemetery of St Garvasis Catholic Church was found damaged, while a Jacobite Church in the same region was stoned. A special police team has been constituted to probe the attacks, said Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. Kerala Catholic Bishops Council secretary Fr Stephen said the incident should not be linked to the attacks on Christians in Karnataka and Orissa.
