The film begins with Avinash (Subodh Bhave) being brought to a bungalow in an injured condition on a rainy day. A journalist,he is confined there as he tries to expose corrupt politician Shripatrao (Sayaji Shinde) during his election campaign and gets beaten up by his goons. Ravee (Amruta Subhash) too comes there with her group of friends. Avinash and Ravee come face to face and recognise each other despite several years of separation. Ravee has become a drug-addict due to circumstances. On that rainy day, they recall their days when they were kids and what led to their separation.

Gayatri (Sonali Kulkarni) and Vishwas (Sandip Mehta) lead a happy life in a village with their two kids,Avinash and Ravee. Gayatri manages the house as well as their business, which impresses Shripatrao. Vishwas is framed in a legal case and sent to jail. To release him,Gayatri seeks Shripatrao’s help and falls prey to his devious plan. When Vishwas sees Gayatri and Shripatrao in a compromising position,he walks out on her with Avinash and a happy family is shattered. Avinash grows up hating his mother and now years later, after meeting his sister,he gets to know the truth.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE :
Director Gajendra Ahire,as always, tries to come up with something different. He has also penned the story, screenplay and dialogues. Subodh’s and Amruta’s scenes have been shot at one location on a rainy day. While Subodh has given a subdued performance,Amruta,as a drug-addict who recalls her childhood,is a bit loud at times. Sonali Kulkarni appears sensitive as Gayatri, the wife and later as a devastated woman but she could have avoided the wig and a huge bindi on her forehead. However,it is Sayaji Shinde who steals the show, first as the manipulative local MLA who tricks Gayatri into his trap and later as the corrupt politician who tries to rape Raave. His fast-paced dialogue delivery and impatient usage of his hands while talking and facial gestures suit his role.
RATING :
One star each for Sayaji Shinde’s and Sonali Kulkarni’s performances.
