Universal Human Rights Oganisation’s deputation on Wednesday met Chief Engineer, PSEB, and demanded action against the employees who could not distribute bills in time in a few areas.
Satnam Singh Dhaliwal of this organisation said that it was not justified to penalise the consumers who did not get the bills or a few of them got just a day before.
They have also sought information under RTI as how many consumers were left without paying the bills because of the fault of Municipal Council.
Meanwhile it needs to be mentioned that areas Punjab Mata Nagar, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Vikas Nagar, Vishal Nagar etc did not get bills in time due to which consumers were harassed a lot.
