Berger Paints India's largest stake holder, UK Paints India, today picked up an additional 3.50 lakh shares in the company for a little over Rs 5 crore.
As per block deal data available with National Stock Exchange (NSE), UK Paints India which held 45.56 per cent stake or 15.77 crore shares in Berger Paints India at the end of September quarter, bought the 3.50 lakh scrips from another promoter Meeta Dhingra.
The shares were purchased for an average price of Rs 151 apiece aggregating the deal size to Rs 5.28 crore.
Dhingra held about 83.15 lakh shares of Berger Paints amounting to 2.40 per cent stake in the company, as of quarter ending September 30, 2012.
Shares of Berger Paints rose marginally up by 0.40 per cent settle at Rs 149.70 apiece, on the BSE.
