Uma distributing money to voters: Cong to EC

    A Congress candidate contesting against Uma Bharti has alleged that she had been distributing money to voters.

    Congress candidate from Tikamgarh Assembly Constituency, Yadvendra Singh has complained to Election Commission that the Bharatiya Janshakti Party president Uma Bharti, who is contesting election against him, had been distributing money to voters.

    Singh, in a complaint faxed to the Election Commission last night alleged that Bharti had through her nephew Rajju paid Rs 5,000 for the construction of a temple in village Lar where she had also given a cheque for Rs 10,000 to one Devi Singh.

    The Congress nominee said that by distributing money like this to voters, Bharti had violated the model code of conduct for elections and demanded that the matter should be investigated and action should be taken against her.
