United Spirits buys 41% in Sovereign Dist

United Spirits said it acquired a stake in Karnataka-based Sovereign Distilleries.

Vijay Mallya’s United Spirits said on Monday it has acquired 41.54 percent stake in Karnataka-based Sovereign Distilleries Ltd.

The distillery is the producer of extra neutral alcohol (ENA) and currently has a capacity of 180 kilo litres of alcohol per day,United Spirits said.
