Students, who failed in the pass papers but cleared the honours papers of the recently declared BA, BSc Part I and Part II results of the University of Calcutta, staged a demonstration in front of the university on Monday.

The students have been demanding a supplementary examination to get another chance to write the pass papers. They withdrew the protests after the authorities assured them that they will look in the issue.
