UP govt withdraws case against Gorakhpur blasts accused

The Akhilesh Yadav government has ordered withdrawal of a case lodged against alleged HuJI operative Tariq Qasmi in connection with serial blasts in Gorakhpur in 2007.

Instructions have been sent to the District Magistrate of Gorakhpur to file an application in court for withdrawal of the case in which Qasmi faces charges under the Explosives Act,7 Criminal Law Amendment Act,and attempt to murder.
