A team of UP Police will soon visit Delhi to seek custody of gangster Munna Bajrangi who was arrested by Delhi Police in Mumbai on Thursday. ADG (Law & Order) Brij Lal said that the gangster is wanted in two murder cases in Varanasi and also for jumping bail in several others.
Meanwhile, the court of the Special Judge (Essential Commodities Act), Jaunpur Rajendra Chand, which had convicted Bajrangi’s co-accused Alam Singh in a case of triple murder on last Tuesday, today awarded him death sentence. Singh is son of Bajrangi’s mentor Gajraj Singh. Another accused in the case, Rajesh Dubey, was acquitted in the case due to lack of sufficient corroborating evidences, said defence lawyer Minna Lal Tiwari. The ADG said Bajrangi’s case was separated from the triple murder case as he was absconding and the police would seek his remand for it also.
