UP Roadways fined Rs 7,500

    The District Consumer Redressal Forum has imposed a fine of Rs 7,500 on the General Manager and Regional Manager of Uttar Pradesh Roadways Corporation for causing harassment to a passenger on Saturday.

    According to prosecution sources, a Roadways bus passenger, P K Mittal, had filed a complaint and alleged that on June 12, 2002, he was dropped at a jungle instead of the Roadways stand — causing inconvenience to him.
