A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting with senior officers of the Water Supply and Sanitation Department here at the CMs residence this morning.
The Secretary,Water Supply and Sanitation, said the department had already got 199 samples from the districts of Bathinda,Mansa,Ludhiana,Moga,Ferozepur,Faridkot and Muktsar of the Malwa belt analysed from BARC.
These samples revealed higher level of uranium in drinking water in 38 tube well-based schemes.
