The US Secretary of State on Tuesday underlined that the Obama Administration would keep pressing Pakistan to act decisively against all terror organisations within its territory, saying Islamabad now understands that they "can't just play Whack-A-Mole".

"We are going to keep pressing (Pak). This is the highest priority to us," Hillary Clinton said, adding "we are encouraged and supportive of what Pakistan is doing against their enemies. We want more help against our common enemy".

Many countries, including India, have flayed Pakistan for refusing to target some of the terrorist groups based in country because its intelligence community see them as future "strategic assests".

Clinton said Pakistan is now "evidencing that" when asked if she is convinced that Pakistan now understand that the Taliban is their enemy as much as their long-held opposition to India, and they are prepared to do something.

Clinton who was recently in Pakistan, said Pakistanis understand too "that you can¿t just play Whack-A-Mole".

"You can’t just knock down the Taliban somewhere and expect you’re done, because they have unfortunately created this syndicate, this network of interconnected terrorist groups," she told the popular Charlie Rose Show in an interview.

"So the Pakistanis have to be vigilant, she underlined.
