UT asks pvt hospitals to give data on dengue cases

The UT health authorities,on Thursday,held a meeting to review the preventive steps taken to control dengue cases in Chandigarh.

The UT health authorities,on Thursday,held a meeting to review the preventive steps taken to control dengue cases in Chandigarh.

The UT health department has said that they have issued letters to all private hospitals and clinics to disclose the number of dengue,viral fever cases approaching them so as to get an exact data of the total number of cases reported this season.

So far,the total number of dengue cases from the city alone has reached 150,while last year it was 73. The number of viral fever cases have already crossed 500 cases everyday in various government hospitals individually.

The Malaria Wing of the UT Health Department has also enhanced its field activi and holding camps on how to control situations to deter breeding of musquitoes.
