The newly-constructed satsang hall of Govin Dev Ji Temple at Jaipur, which has found place in the Guinness Book of World Records for its architectural wonder, has a Vadodara connection.
City-based Post Tension Services India Pvt Ltd (PTSI) has provided the technology for the concrete cement flat roof with a single span of 119 feet. The construction of the building, which is owned by the Govind Devji Temple Trust, has cost Rs 3 crore.
Trust wanted a hall that could seat 5,000 devotees at any given time and that it should not have any pillars. The trust awarded the project to the Rajasthan State Road Development Corporation (RSRDC), which in turn approached NM Roof Designers Ltd (NMRD). This company further involved PTSI India from Vadodara.
“The design and engineering, preparation of construction designs, supply of the post tension system along with its installation and execution, including stressing, was carried out by us,” said Urav Patel, director of PTSI India.
For a company, which is just three years old, it was a remarkable achievement, he said, adding, “It feels amazing. We set up the company in 2006 and in just three years in business, we have played a significant role in a project which has its name in the Guinness Book of World Records.”
Patel further said that the post tensioning technology was the backbone of the project and without it the construction would not have been possible. NMRD has given PTSI a certificate appreciating its work.
