The city got a new multi-specialty hospital — Global Baroda — in the Manjalpur area on Sunday.

It has 110 beds and five high-tech operation theatres equipped with state-of-the-art instruments and machines.

The hospital will provide services on cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, rheumatology, joint replacement, laparoscopic surgery, gynaecology, urosurgery and psychiatry among others.

“Some of the equipment we are using are not found in any other hospital in the state. The operation theatres are infection-free,” said Dr Rajiv Shah of the hospital.

“Middle class people can easily afford our services, which is the USP of our hospital,” he added.

The hospital will have over 40 super specialists in various departments.
