MDMK Leader V Gopalswami on Friday met Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Writers' Buildings and invited her to the launch of a book containing his speeches in New Delhi.
He appreciated Mamata Banerjee for pulling out from the Manmohan Singh government, saying the UPA II has lost the moral rights to rule. He said the regional parties should come together and play more important role in national politics. "I support the crusade of Mamata Banerjee," he said and added that he spoke to a cross section of people in Kolkata without revealing his identity and asked them about their Chief Minister. "From cab driver to a paanwala, all said their Chief Minister is a simple person," he added.
