The queen of controversies Veena Malik may or may not have done a nude shoot for an Indian magazine, but the cover photograph has drawn a warning from Pakistans Interior Minister Rehman Malik.
While the minister has said he had not seen the pictures,he contended that if Veena had done a nude shoot, strict action would be taken against her.
Veena, who last ran into trouble for not playing miss-goodie-two-shoes on Indian reality show Bigg Boss IV,is back in the spotlight for allegedly posing nude for the cover of FHM India magazine with an ISI tattoo on her arm.
She has denied posing nude and has threatened to sue the magazine, whose editor Kabeer Sharma insists that he has a video and an e-mail from Veena to prove the authenticity of the photo.
Under fire,Veena told Geo TV that the cover, featuring her with an ISI tattoo was intended to be funny. She said she was photographed for a bold but not nude shot, and the editor had promised that he would cover most of the photo with the ISI initials.
I have worked with Kabeer but the picture is a morphed one. The tattoo was Kabeers idea and was intended to be a humorous take on the fact that anything big or small is blamed on ISI in a funny way, she told Geo TV.
She said the magazine must be in possession of a video of the shoot where she would be clothed.
Women have come out in hordes in the virtual world,at least,to support Veena. Filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy tweeted on Saturday: For all you clerics waiting to pounce on Veena Malik better have your excuses lined up about why you were looking at FHM in the first place!
Meanwhile,Malik has reportedly filed a case against FHM,reportedly suing the magazine for Rs 10 crore.
