    Venus Williams continued her march towards a third successive Wimbledon singles title by beating Dinara Safina 6-1 6-0.

    So much so, in fact, that whatever happens in Saturday's final, Safina will still be the world number one next week.

    Try explaining that to anyone who watched this semi-final.
