Care to buy clothes of Heer-Ranjha’s back?
This one’s a first in the history of Punjabi cinema. And it’s a pretty interesting one too. With their film releasing tomorrow, Harbhajan Mann and Neeru Bajwa were out there today, announcing the auction of the clothes they wore in Heer Ranjha. Produced by Eros International in association with H&H Productions and Aplomb Motion Picture’s Punjabi, Heer Ranjha will hit the theatres worldwide on November 13, and so will the sale of the actors costumes.
The actors in association with Tricity Calling magazine made open the auction of the dresses worn by them during the movie, and yes, the bid is very much on. “The proceeds of this auction will be used for children at an orphanage, and on the completion of one year, Tricity Calling, will initiate the auction of the dresses, signed by the us,” smile the actors Harbhajan and Neeru. “This is the first time “Heer Ranjha” would be brought on big screen in Punjabi language,” says Mann, who has co-produced the film directed by Harjeet Singh and Kshitij Chauhan. Talking about his experience of creating the rich Punjabi folklore, he said they had researched a lot before starting this project based on ‘Heer’ written by Waarish Shah and make it entertaining in the process too. “The most difficult part of the movie was to create scenes based on that period, and we had to work out different locations and interact with local people,” adds Mann looking forward to the release of Heer Ranjha. The movie will be also be releasing in countries like Hong Kong, New Zealand, Dubai, Pakistan etc which will see the release of a Punjabi film for the very first time. In the meantime,
