The feud in the Sangh outfits of Gujarat has taken a new dimension with the VHP members sending one lakh SMSes on Tuesday against its sister organisation - BJP, which is running the state government.

It all started with the arrests of Ashwin Patel, a VHP member by the Gandhinagar police alleging that he was instrumental in sending SMSes defaming Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi after the July 26 serial blasts.

One of the SMS send on Tuesday by the VHP read, “Bomb blasts in Gujarat under whose rule?” Another SMS send by the VHP to the people said, “Wah re Modi tera khel, Muslimo Ko mithai, Hindu ko jail (Modi is playing game by giving sweets to Muslims and jail to Hindus)”.

“Today, through out the day our party workers have send one lakh such SMSes to people of the state,” VHP office bearers said.

“The government has arrested our leader Ashwin Patel for sending defaming SMSes. By the SMS campaign we want to challenge the government to arrest more VHP workers. Thousands of VHP workers were involved in sending SMSes today and now they should arrest them,” he added.

Yesterday, VHP had organised ‘sit in’ and its leaders had courted arrests in protest against arrests of Patel.

The BJP and VHP had worked in close coordination at the time of 2002 Gujarat riots, however, after the the riots both the organisation had fallen off.

The VHP leaders say that the main reason for the soaring of relationship was dictatorial ways of Gujarat Chief Minister.

What?By: Pranab | 07-Nov-2008 Reply | Forward "The VHP leaders say that the main reason for the soaring of relationship was dictatorial ways of Gujarat Chief Minister. "Surely you mean 'souring'?What are your sub-editors and editors doing? Your standards are slipping lower each day.
VHP and BJPBy: Naveed | 05-Nov-2008 Reply | Forward The BJP and the VHP worked in a close coordination during the Gujrat riots because they had a mission..the mission to kill muslims and make them economically poor. Now, fearing that truth might come out, the NAUTANKI -VHP is playing a game to save Narendra Modi. They know that if they say Modi is sending hindus to jail and protecting muslims " Wah re Modi tera khel, Muslimo Ko mithai, Hindu ko jail", the muslims start liking Modi and forget the 2002 riots. This is a smart game played in understanding between the BJP and the VHP. I appeal all the muslims, please don't fall to the fake hate games between VHP and BJP. If the VHP think so bad about Modi, let them speak-out about the 2002 riots and show the whole world how the riots were carried-out systematically by the Modi administration. If they do this, then muslims will take VHP hate Modi slogans seriously otherwise it's just a NAUTANKI.
VHP SMeSBy: SA Hasan | 05-Nov-2008 Reply | Forward A wake up for all those who believe in true nationalism and not in political dramas as played by BJP, VHP and other Sangh Parivar outfits. VHP and other hindu outfits poses a great threat not only to India but to Hinduism as well. They portray themselves as a "Massiah" of Hindusim but in reality they are making the life of an ordinary Hindu difficult. It should be aksed from these outfits that how many jobs they created for Indians, what is their contribution in developing the economy, adn how much national property they have destroyed during their agitations and violence. BJP, VHP and other hindu outfits claim that they are sign of cultural nationalism however they always supported violence, destroyed national property and harmony in the country. Actually they have nothing to do with natioinal culturism rather than they are trying to occupy the Central Government for making money and other benefits and has nothing to do with Hinduism and making Hindus foolish
well saidBy: common man | 05-Nov-2008 Reply | Forward Very well said Hasan. But the irony is that this is the same problem with any party that uses religion or region to take political advantage. So parties like VHP, Shiv Sena, MNS, Akali Dal, SIMI, BJP, Bajrang Dal, Muslim League and others using religion/region for political mileage have to be banned.
Jail Them With HardshipBy: M. Y. Imran | 05-Nov-2008 Reply | Forward The Central Government must take action against those who are trying to divide India based on Cast, Creed, Religion, Castiesm, Regionalism regardless of their affiliation with any organization e.g. be it SIMI, IM, VHP, Bajrang Dal, Durga Vahini, Shiv Sena, MNS or any other outwit. The only to unite India is to take stern action against them, put them in DARK ROOM for 15 years and feel the difference.
VHP - A Model ExampleBy: A.V. Poulose | 05-Nov-2008 Reply | Forward VHP, RSS, Bajrang etc. infect social fabric and instigate political and communal terrorism. They believe they only deserve to rule the country by Hindu label. All the rest are bloody fools not deserving to be of human kind. Let such communal goondas rule the Nation and see the Tamasha.
