Vidarbha humbled Uttar Pradesh by five wickets in the ongoing Ranji one-dayers in Indore on Friday. After electing to bat first, UP were restricted to a mere 191 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 50 overs. Opener Tanmay Srivastava, who scored a watchful 67 off 92 balls, was the only batsman to show some resistance.

Chasing 192 as target, Vidarbha got off to a disastrous start, when skipper Faiz Fazal was given out leg before on the first ball that he faced from RP Singh. Then Sanjoy Binkar stitched together useful partnerships of 67 and 74 runs with Amit Paunikar and Ravi Jangid, respectively to power Vidarbha home.
