    Manali: Congressmen in Kullu, Manali, Banjar and Ani Assembly segments distributed sweets to mark Virbhadra’s induction in the Cabinet. Former minister Satya Prakash Thakur joined them.

    Virbhadra Singh as Cabinet MinisterBy: Dr. Pankaj Khullar | 28-May-2009 Reply | Forward The appointment of Virbhadra Singh as a Cabinet Minister in the Manmohan Singh Govt. speaks volumes of the qualities of the man, and the trust and faith that the central leadership reposes in him. VB Singh has amply demonstrated that he is not only a popular figure in this hill state but is equally well respected at the national level. His positive attitude, his endearing personality and his concern for the common folk have all played a role in bringing him once again to the centre of national politics. His concern for the environment in Himachal Pradesh is well known. One only wishes that he is either given the Environment and Forest portfolio or is given a say in policy dealing with environment and forestry at the national level. We urgently need such a knowledgeable and caring person in the environment sector ! We wish you all the best Sir !
