Taking serious note of the willful disobedience of Court orders despite repeated adjournments given, the Punjab and Haryana High Court today issued bailable warrants of former Chief of Municipal Commissioner, Ludhiana G S Ghuman and former Town and Country Planning head, Ramesh Chabra.

The Court had directed the two to remain present in the Court today with regard to a contempt petition filed against them on account of non removal of encroachments in the Ludhiana city. The Court came down heavily on the non appearance of the two. The duo was posted in Ludhiana when the issue of non action on the part of officials in removing encroachments had reached the High Court.

The Court deplored the conduct of the two officials since they had allegedly not taken action against any encroachers during their tenure.
