Noting that Pakistan houses a ‘syndicate of terrorism’, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said her country is watching the actions being taken by Islamabad against the scourge and expected that perpetrators of Mumbai attacks meet their ‘day of reckoning’.

She emphasised that terrorism is a threat to all, including those who have given haven to such elements, and every country should stand up to defeat the menace.

"We are certainly watching and expecting that there will be justice and those who launched the horrific attacks in Mumbai will meet their day of reckoning," she said at an interaction with press.

Clinton, who will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and hold talks with External Affairs Minister S M Krishna on Monday, said she realises that the ‘syndicate’ of terrorism in Pakistan is ‘troubling’ India, besides the US.

"I have also sent messages very directly to the Pakistani people that this (fight against terrorism) is in the interest of Pakistan, the future stability and security of Pakistan," said the Secretary of State, who is on a five-day visit to India.

She said the US had "seen an evolving commitment, not only by Pakistani Government but also Pakistani people and a recognition that terrorism within a country is a threat to that country".

India should not believe in all these statements unless Pakistan do something about Mumbai attack. Pakistan is as usually habitual liar , there leaders give and speak different languages at different places with different time.

America should not indulge in DOUBLE SPEAK. Pakistan is not a victim of Terrorism, it is the perpetrator and epicentre of terrorsim. America is not willing to act decisively against Pakistan. Until they do, the talk of day of reckoning etc. for the Mumbai attackers is at best FUTILE. The USA has influenced the policies of other governments by intimidation and coercion, and has appointed their hand picked leaders in many countries including Iraq, Afghanistan, Algeria, Palestine etc. The dimensions of American terror are huge and immeasurable and organisations like Al-Qaeda have no match for the mighty American terrorism. It is like comparing a wild lion with a country mouse. The terrorism of Al-Qaeda and the Talibans get a terribly bad press in the world simply because the world media is controlled by 8 huge American multinationals but the well organised terrorism of the so called civilized democracies such as the US is brushed away and termed as “FIGHT AGAINST TERROR”. Revenge and retaliation unfortunately runs in the veins and vessels of humans. Western neo-imperialism and political domination of the world should come to an end and we have to accept social justice and fair distribution of the world’s wealth. My enemy’s enemy is my friend, and my enemy’s friend is my enemy, is an immoral policy. Nevertheless too many countries follow this. Probably the US is an exception, as they are capable of RUNNING WITH THE HARE AND HUNTING WITH HOUNDS as we see from the visit of Hilary Clinton to India. More vividly in Iraq and Israel. The most horrendously fundamental and oppressive State is Saudis on one extreme and the big rogue state Israel, on the other extreme both are the best frienda of the US.
