If couples are found indulged in obscenity, their photographs will be taken and uploaded on websites, threatened Ram Sene.
The Sri Ram Sene has said its cadres will maintain a constant vigil in New Delhi to check that 'love birds' did not indulge in obscene behaviour on Valentine's Day even as Delhi Police has made elaborate security arrangements to avoid any eventuality on the occasion.

"Banners will be put up at several places in the capital. We have ten mobile teams ready to roam around the city and check that love birds are not involved in obscene ways," informed Sri Rama Sene general secretary Vinay Kumar.

"If couples are found indulged in obscenity, their photographs will be taken and uploaded on websites to let the world know about this," he said.

Kumar said India is the land of Lord Krishna and nobody should compete with him in terms of love and relationship. He said his party has also set up a helpline number – 9891616259 – where women can complain about any harassment.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police Spokesperson Rajan Bhagat said that elaborate security arrangements have been made to ensure peaceful Valentine's Day.

"Those who will indulge in unlawful activities, will be taken to task. Nobody will be allowed to get involved in violence, whosoever he may be," Bhagat said.

"Patrol will be intensified. Men in uniform, civil clothes and female policemen will also keep a vigil," he said. About the outfit's plan to upload photographs of love birds on Internet, Bhagat said, "We will foil such attempts."

Meanwhile, a group of youngsters, who came together through social networking sites such as Orkut and Facebook, have come up with an idea to distribute "Pink underwear" to the "self-styled custodians" of the culture.

The over 3,500-member group is running the campaign against the "moral police". Delhi police commissioner Y S Dadwal had recently warned that Delhi will "not tolerate moral policing".

Areas which can become possible target of the hardliners have been identified, a senior police officer said, adding that security will be beefed up near pubs, malls and parks, besides around the Metro station entrances and cinema halls.

Securitymen will be deployed near University colleges and hostels to ensure that the day passes off peacefully "without any disturbance". "Besides the moral police, eve-teasers will also not be spared," he said.

Parivar and preachingsBy: SV Sivasubrahmaniam | 27-Feb-2009 Reply | Forward To me it looks that the end to these fanatic activities may be to “ban” BJP and other Parivar group organisations. Sorry Dear Sirs I don not mean but I am very much angry, annoyed and emotional for the present state of affairs. In the preaching HINDUTVA by them, the top brass may be claiming idealism, but it has become venomous and is being deeply misunderstood by the fanatics like these guys and they are indulging unlawful activities. I fail to understand who is giving such “policing rights” to these guys. Why they can not be arrested with the so called powers of POTA of BJP? Yes, it is also a type of terrorism may be “moral terrorism”! The right to live “as one wants” in this society is to be guaranteed by the state. Any unlawful or immoral activity is to be tackled by state, not by these people.

Obscene Couples photographsBy: Amar Jeet Singh | 14-Feb-2009 Reply | Forward I just wonder who is this so called Ram Sena to take photographs of the couples and term them as "obscene" and upload them What purpose will it serve?.If they rally wand to clean up our society they shoud take photgraphs of the persons urinating in the public places, violating traffic rules, doing violence to women at homes and public places, taking bribes, breaking laws, giving and taking dowery, shearking work etc. i think it would serve the society in a better way. it will make people shy away from doing all above anti social activities. they shoud net waste their energies to photographs of couples sitting on the bencehs on the parks, beaches, movie theaters and other public places. In the today's world where hate, violenc and obscene show of wealth and power has become a way of life. The men and women, boys and girls showing affection by holding hands or sitting near to each other should be encouraged not humilated in the garb of drawing political attention.
