Went to meet 2 girls,teacher kidnapped; cops come to his rescue

The cops saved Chamkaur well in time.

Government school teacher Chamkaur Singh,45,was kidnapped when he had gone to date two girls on Friday morning. His abductors demanded a ransom of Rs 30 lakh from his brother-in-law who informed the police. The cops saved Chamkaur well in time.

The teacher used to chat with two girls on his mobile and went to meet them at Sidhu Dhaba on Chandigarh road on Friday morning. Soon after he reached there,five men came and started beating Chamkaur,alleging that he was flirting with the girls. Later,the five men made a phone call to Parkash Singh,the brother-in-law of Chamkaur,and asked for a ransom of Rs 30 lakh. The call was made from Chamkaur’s mobile only.

Parkash informed police who reached the Sidhu Dhabha along with Parkash,and nabbed Sartaj Singh,Parmod Kumar and Amarinderpal Singh while the girls ran away.

Three more men were also there who were yet to be arrested,said SHO Raj Kumar.
