Union Minister Mahavir Prasad termed the murder allegation levelled against him in a murder case as "political conspiracy" and parried a query if he was considering resigning from the government.

"It is a political conspiracy," he told reporters when asked about the conspiracy charge registered against him in a murder case in Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.

Asked if it would be morally correct for him to resign now, 69-year-old Prasad said, "What is moral about it? We have been winning elections and will do so in future. There is just one word to describe this (case) and it's a political conspiracy," said the Scheduled Caste leader from Bansgaon.

The case was lodged on the direction of the Allahabad High Court under section 120 B IPC (conspiracy) against the Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Gagha Police station in Gorakhpur last night, according to police.

Shibu Soren and Mahavir PrasadBy: rammohan | 13-Feb-2009 Reply | Forward Soren will support UPA, CPM will support UPA both because taht much freedom they get for the criminal activities they are engaged. So CPM should back before or after the elections. Regardless of the wordly duels Amar Singh's , Lalu's . Mulayams's, Karuna's and Paswan's will always find a supporting shoulder in Congress. they will sell the country for money.
An exemplary ministerBy: Jai Singh | 12-Feb-2009 Reply | Forward why was this politician asked about morals? He does not know what they are. His job is politics and winning elections and the means to win them don't count. One should not surprise such ministers with words like morals, honesty, integrity and setting a personal example of probity for they would call these things a political conspiracy.
CRIMINALS IN POLITICAL UNIFORMMBy: G B SRIKANTIAH | 12-Feb-2009 Reply | Forward IT IS quite natural for Soren to demand Mahavir Prasad’s resignation as he was forced to resign. WE have plenty of criminals in political uniforms in parliament and assemblies.
