'Politicians in India ape Sarkozy when it comes to romantic affairs, but do not accept his strict governance policies'

Stating that the government should take a leaf out of French President Nicholas Sarkozy's policies, Shiv Sena mouth piece 'Samaana' has congratulated him on the recent ban on veil in his country.

"Like Sarkozy, our rulers should first impose a ban on veil and introduce common civil code," the editorial said.

It said "women reservation can wait, first try and take the veil off."

The editorial also hailed Sarkozy, calling him "a robust man, who does not compromise on national interest."

"We specially congratulate him...He issued a fiat and banned veil in public places overnight. To force women to wear veil is to limit their freedom," it said.

The editorial also mentioned Sarkozy's openness toward women.

Referring to Fiza-Chand affair and "similar affairs in Maharashtra", it attacked the Indian politicians saying, "What Sarkozy does overtly, our politicians do covertly."

"Sarkozy had an affair with a beautiful model called Carla Bruni. He walks in public with her ... and his countrymen accept it happily," it said.

Politicians here ape Sarkozy when it comes to romantic affairs, but do not accept his strict governance policies, it said.

Shiv sena is jealous of other communityBy: freddie (Indian) | 11-Jul-2009 Reply | Forward shiv sena will never progress because they like to pull each other legs. Shiv Sena is a jealous party and can take their own people washing vessel while the people coming from outside progress. It is true that is the reason most of the shiv sena have got the habbit of destroying property and riots and strike. when shiv sena is damaging property the police support them and no action taken. so is there a law in India.
What are the priorities before SS, Mr ThackerayBy: Kalidas M | 02-Jul-2009 Reply | Forward Well, what about other more important issues kept hanging to-date by you, Mr Thackeray. This could surely wait, first look at what is at stake in the forthcoming State Elections, that would be much wiser. We must whitewash Congress first. Priorities must be properly weighed and acted up on, or am I missing something? Think about the issues in all perspectives, I am sure, after that this one will definitely look but very mundane.
