But for those of us more cynical, judicial accountability must be seen as a work in progress. Is there a better way to assuage judicial worries of smear? Can the unscrupulous be screened away, yet public accountability guaranteed? These are matters for public debate, and that is exactly what this draft law is in need of. Let the conversation begin.

Upholders of Democracy Politician or Judges have both guarded their domain from public scrutiny. Curruption phenomenon is ingrained in Indian ethos.Hopfully a man/woman of substance might arise to clean this up. Barring independent Media there is not much hope.The booming economy has cushioned us from dangers to Democracy. What if an 'Ayatollah of Iran' type of democracy is replaced with this imperial model of governance?.
