UT Administration

The much-delayed Master Plan 2031 that will give an outline for the growth of the city in the years to come is likely to be submitted.

Two new secretaries and one additional secretary to join for effective governance in the city.

UT has been given the tag of country's first model Solar city. The concept, despite many efforts by the UT Administrator could not pick up momentum. It is expected that next year, the concept will be popularised more among the residents for making use of the solar energy.

UT to expand its industrial set up in the periphery.

Health

PGI to release its Golden Jubilee postage stamp

PGIMER likely to get Rs 2000 crores in the 12 five year plan, for setting up of excellence centres in specialties such as neurology etc.

Linear accelerator at a cost of rs 26 crore to be installed which will be beneficial for treatments of various cancers.

GMCH 32 likely to get its new Director Principal.

Work on a 300 bedded trauma hospital in Sector 53 likely to be started.

Dispensaries to be constructed in different sectors by Municipal Corporation. A poly clinic to come up in Sector 48.

Courts

Videoconferencing to be enhanced to the level where even the evidences will be examined by the new facility.

Courts likely to shift to the new complex in sector 43.

Hearing on the case of Sham Mall murder case's closure report to be done and decided if the case is to be closed or the investigations are to continue.
