The deadly silence in the Indian dressing room after the loss to South Africa was broken only by the sobs of Virat Kohli. Clearly, the win had done little to lighten up the mood and the failure to make the knock-out stages rankled. Coach Duncan Fletcher let the emotions run for a while before addressing the players. Four wins out of five would have been enough on most occasions and the coach for one, was not too critical of his team. He appreciated the effort the team had put in and also had a word of praise for Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan, for agreeing to sit out.
