Even so, if you want to get into politics, it is not too late. Join a party or start your own with a few friends. If you work at it and don’t despair I promise you success. But only by 2025. Start now.

It mainly due to economic reason. Without a decent regular income to sustain his/her family, no sensible young person will like to take up politics to change the system. In fact politics is the last option for any able Indian person as a profession (those with family “business” of politics are a different issue). Even if a young guy dares to join politics with certain honesty and ethics, s/he will be sidelined soon, in his work-place, in his locality and in his political endeavor. This is true for any country that does not take care of its general people, even in USA (where Barak Obama is just an exception, Bush-Kennedys are the rule). Such model may be do-able in western European countries like UK, Germany, France, Switzerland etc but almost impossible in countries like India.It’s mainly the retired people or old millionaires (still having some honesty and sense of duty towards the country) with certain degree of economic security can start doing value based politics to make this country a better place. Yes, it will take time and today’s young people will join in due course.
