Come back as a commentator

Sourav come back as a commentator and replace all the jokers like Harsha Bogle and Charu Sharma who have never played cricket but give 'expert' comments on the TV.

Saurav Ganguly's retirement
by Pratap Nair on 2008-10-07 17:35:11.400422+05:30
There is no doubt that Saurav has had a brilliant career and he will rank among the best that India has produced. The Seniors who are not in form have to make way for the juniors and that cannot happen in one stroke. You will probably see Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble call it quits after a few more tests and eventually it will be VVS laxman and the great Sachin Tendulkar. Among the Seniors, Saurav had a lean trot in Sri lanka and has had a bad match against New Zealand A. Obviously he had to be the first to go. However I think he is going in glory and there is nothing to complain or be sad about. I do hope that he will end these last four matches with fifties and hundreds aplenty to make his exit a memorable one. Saurav all of us in India (not Bengal only) love you for the brilliant performances of the past and will never forget the pleasure you have given us for so many years. We do not like to see you go, but it is in the best interests of the game in India. Thank you Saurav.
best of luck

The prince of calcutta will retire as the king of india. His 'never give up' attitude will forever inspire me in my life. And whenever I triumph, which I definitely will, I too will wave my shirt.

Ganguly gifted "Agression and Courage" to Indian Cricket that it badly needed. He shall be remembered as one of the finest captains who imparted Indian Cricket "Go for the Kill Attitude". Though he suffered from really bad politics, he has chosen the right time to bid Adieu to Cricket. Hope, we see him contribute in different form; be it as a Indian Cricket Coach / Selector / Comentator after retirement.

It is time the other greats Rahul, Sachin and Anil also follow the footsteps of Sourav.
Sourav-a fighter
by Sudhir Bisht on 2008-10-07 16:32:38.219144+05:30
Hi Sourav,This is one of your most vocal critics, Sudhir Bisht. I have been on print media several time, chiding you, admonishing you and ranting at you but I feel more than a tinge of sadness to hear about your retirement. You have been a fighter, a skilled one at that and I wish that you join the public life. We need combative, plain-speaking and spirited fighters like you in public life.
its not fair

its indeed a great loss to india. If we see last few years, Ganguly has been forced out of the team due to politics. One of the finest one day opening batsman and indias most successful captain was treated badly. Its good retiring than to face humiliation.
Salute

Why Ganguly ?
by Debasis on 2008-10-07 16:19:29.290448+05:30
Why Ganguly again..? this is a conspiracy against one of the indias finest batsmans ever lived. I don't understand what game selectors are playing with his career. Dravid should be the one to be sacked.
