In a monthly executive meeting at the Sector 20 Community Centre, the 46 Resident Welfare Associations (RWA) under the Federation of Sector Welfare Associations (FOSWAC),on Monday, passed a resolution to extend support for reviving the post of Chief Commissioner in the city instead of having the UT Administrator.

The members also expressed resentment with the Administration not involving city residents in decisions that concern mega projects.

Chairman of FOSWAC,P C Sanghi, said: “We must deliberate upon as to why the city residents were not taken into confidence before planning out such major projects wherein thousands of acres of land of Chandigarh has been allotted and committed.”

The members also expressed their concern about the delay on part of the Chandigarh Administration in according approval for need-based changes in CHB flats, cheap houses and industrial workers’ houses.
