Wife,paramour kill man; hide body in hut for 30 hours

A woman and her paramour were arrested in the national capital for allegedly murdering her husband who found them in a ‘compromising position’ in their north Delhi home,police said.

A woman and her paramour were arrested in the national capital for allegedly murdering her husband who found them in a ‘compromising position’ in their north Delhi home,police said.

Amit (25) and Kashmira (33) were caught for allegedly stabbing to death Mohinder Singh on June nine in their hutment in Kishan Ganj slum in north Delhi,Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Sagarpreet Hooda said.

“They hid the body beneath the bed for 30 hours as they wanted to dispose it of. But they could not arrange any vehicle for the same. So they dumped it in front of the hut and Kashmira cooked up the story,” Hooda said.

The wife had told the police that Singh was working as an electrician with Delhi Floor Mill in Subzi Mandi and he had gone to meet one Rajender,a friend who had borrowed Rs 20,000 from him but had not returned the amount,on June nine night.

She claimed that she had waited for her husband till 2 am and in the morning,she found Singh’s body lying in front of her hut,Hooda said. Singh was an “alcoholic”.

However,he said,during investigations it came to light that Kashmira was allegedly having a relationship with Amit who had visited her on the fateful night. During searches,some blood stains were found on the floor.

“One plastic bag containing blood stained clothes were found on the shelf of the hut and Amit was also found hiding there. Both of them were arrested,” he said.
