
Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh on Monday assured a delegation of North Indian community that strict action would be taken against MNS activists who attacked North Indian candidates at railway recruitment exam centers.
"Chief Minister Deshmukh has promised that he will take strong action against MNS activists," Congress leader Kripa Shankar Singh, who led the delegation, told mediapersons in Mumbai.
Singh condemned Sunday's attacks by MNS activists and said, "One man (Raj Thackeray) is taking law in his hand ... This is not the Maharashtra culture" and demanded immediate action should against MNS.
