Pranab Mukherjees tenure as President will cast a shadow on at least two persons: his caretaker and private security guard at the Congress leaders Dhakuria residence. Chaya Naskar,who has worked for Mukherjee for the past 30 years,and Samar Banerjee,who has been there for seven years,said they would miss Mukherjee for the next five years as he would spend less time in Kolkata. Chaya said,Dadababu (Mukherjee) loves home-cooked food. On Saturday he was on a fast,so today I prepared his favourites - kalmi shak,aloo patoler dalna,thor and katla macher jhol. She said that Dadababu preferred light food whenever he came here. Once Dadababu came to Kolkata to attend a family wedding. At night Dadababu came home and told me to prepare home-cooked food for him, she said. Tears rolled down as she smiled,Dadababu told me that he will visit this residence and relish my food even after becoming President. I look forward to that. I have seen Dadababu and his wife from very close and they are my second family, she added. Even Chotobabu (Abhijeet,Mukherjees son and MLA of Nalhati) is very fond of me. Banerjee,the security guard,said,Sir used to treat us whenever he came home. A year back,when Sir went to his residence,he organised a picnic for all the staff of the residence and served food to all the guests.
