•What was the turning point or the best innings you have played this year?
• It has to be that 100 against Australia in Australia. To score against the best in the world in those conditions gives you a lot of confidence as a cricketer. More than anything, it allowed me to hit back at all my critics, who had declared that I couldn’t score against good opposition on difficult wickets. That innings, more than the one I scored first in Australia against Sri Lanka, was special in that respect. Australia in Australia is the ultimate, isn’t it?
•Finally, what are your plans for 2009?
• I don’t plan too much. I just want 2009 to be as good as 2008. That’s my wish for the new year.
