  • Despite having a soar throat, Hans sings one of his popular numbers on audience’s demand. But it is not always enthusiasm, he also gets brickbats. Women complain about lack of basic amenities. He patiently listens and promises them remedies. In his bid to reach out to each and every voter, Hans touches the feet of the elderly and even clicks photographs with children.

He starts his day at 7:30. After halting at Gakhal village, moves to Gill Kohalan, Khera Majha Wariana, Jandhusingha Madaran Dugri and Chuhaarwali. Between evening and 10 pm, he tours urban areas. “If elected, I will start a jehad against poverty. And out of the 365 days of a year, I will be at the service of the people for 300 days and if people allow me only then will I spend the remaining 65 days with my family,” he says.

In the end, Hans sings “Balhare jawange, asi nahin gappan marde, asi jit ke vee awange (I don’t gossip like others, I will come back to you victorious).”
