With his rhythm back,Irfan eager to join Team India again

I have got my rhythm back after half of the IPL season this year, said Pathan.

Indian all rounder Irfan Pathan said on Sunday that he has found the rhythm in his bowling he had during 2004-05 and wants to hold on to it to get another opportunity to play for Team India.

The left arm pacer,who has not played a one-day international match after February 2009,also admitted that he bowled badly for three years,but has improved now and got the rhythm back.

Pathan was here for a function organised by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuses and Illicit Trafficking,where the cricketer flagged off a rally of over 500 NCC cadets.

I have got my rhythm back after half of the IPL (Indian Premier League) season this year, said Pathan.

This rhythm is like I had in 2004-05, Pathan,who made a debut against Australia in 2003,said. Pathan who plays equally well with his bat,has not played an ODI since February 2009 due to bad form and fitness related issues.

I have bowled badly for three years,but now I have got my old rhythm back and hope to hold on to it and control it properly, the pacer with 152 ODI wickets said.

He said that he was waiting for an opportunity to get back into the team.

Pathan had last played a Test match in April 2008 against South Africa in Ahmedabad.
