Woman’s body found in Film City

The decomposed body of a young woman was found near the helipad in Film City,Goregaon (East),on Sunday morning. Security guards patrolling the area found the body 30 feet from the road leading to the helipad. “The two guards noticed a foul smell emanating from a mud road and immediately informed the police,” said Shirish Sawant,security officer at Film City. “We received a call at 10 am and rushed to the spot. There are steep slopes on either side of the road,” said Uttam More,senior inspector,Aarey Colony police station. According to police,the woman was clad in a green salwar and kameez,had a leather watch on her right wrist and three rings on the fingers of her right hand.

Man on picnic found dead in pond

Body of 22-year-old Raifuddin Shaikh was found floating in a pond at Ketakipada,Dahisar (West),on Sunday. Dahisar Police said Shaikh had gone missing on Saturday evening when he went for a picnic. They said the resident of Shantaram Talao in Kurar area of Malad (East) would take tuitions. At around 2 pm on Saturday,Shaikh left home telling parents he was going to Ketakipada with four friends for a picnic. While returning around 4.30 pm,he told friends he wanted to urinate. When Shaikh did not return for about an hour,friends started looking for him. They later went to his residence and informed his parents,following which a missing complaint was registered on Saturday evening.
