  • The Jetpur police arrested a mother-son duo under the Prevention of Anti-Social Activities (PASA) Act for their alleged involvement in bootlegging on Wednesday evening.

The two, identified as Somi Devipoojak and her son Pravin, were earlier arrested for selling and transporting country-made liquor. Following this, the police decided to arrest them under PASA and sent a letter to the district collector seeking his permission for the same. After the district collector issued arrest warrants against the

duo, the police arrested Somi and Pravin and sent them to Surat and Bharuch jails respectively.
