Publishing house Ratna Sagar has entered into a partnership with Harper Collins to market the Collins dictionaries in India. Three different dictionaries were launched at the auditorium of Government Museum and Art Gallery,Sector 10. The three dictionaries cater to different academic levels and are called Collins Compact Dictionary,Collins Pocket Dictionary and Collins School Dictionary.

The dictionaries were launched by the former professor of English Literature of Delhi University Prof R W Desai. Prof Desai,who is also an authority on William Shakespeare,said,“Since its creation for the first time,more than 400 years ago,the dictionary has undergone a tremendous process of evolution. It is a tool that has now become indispensable for not only teachers and students but also other professionals like lawyers and business executives.”

Prof Desai has also done extensive research on Hamlet and used to publish an international journal on the famous Shakespearean tragedy. He is currently producing and directing a film on Hamlet.
