Workshop on nanotechnology at SPU

A workshop on nanotechnology and organic chemistry will be held at the Sardar Patel University. Prof C N R Rao,Honorary President of the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR),Bangalore,and an authority on solid state and materials,will interact with the students at the workshop on January 21. Prof L M Manocha,who is co-ordinating the workshop said: “Prof Rao is the former chairman of the Scientific Advisory Council to the Prime Minister and has been a director of the International Centre for Material Science (ICMS). He is among the world’s foremost authority on solid state and materials.”

He added,“Of late Prof Rao along with eight members of his team has started meeting students to promote research in material science as nanotechnology has scope in space research applications.”

Prof Rao will talk on alternative routes to multiferriocs (iron compounds with properties for electricity and magnetism).
