Banerjee, who was listening to the exchange, stood up and said she would listen to members from all regions and take necessary action on their demands.

WORLD CLASS STNSBy: kim | 14-Jul-2009 Reply | Forward ATLEAST ONCE LALOO IS CORRECT,FORGET WORLD CLASS FACILITY AS EIGHTY PERCENT PEOPLE ARE POOR,ONLY IF YOU DONT ALLOW THEM IN SUCH STATIONS AND ONLY ALLOW FILTHY RICH IN THERE.WHAT IS THE NEED OF SUCH WASTE OF MONEY,THE DESTRUCTIVE IDEOLOGY MAMTA SHOULD PUT THIS MONEY FOR MAKING IR WORLD CLASS SERVICE.

But Mumbai remains the same and will do so for the next 100 years and China will march ahead. That is the difference between Indian politicians and Chinese. Moral of the story: Dont believe what the politicians say. Just listen and forget it.

The speaker of the house must pull his/her weight to silence all such balderdash.Railway bureaucrats/General mangers etc should be asked by the Minister to prepare a blueprint and then a hearing be conducted in the Parliament with these bureaucrats answering questions.Then the science behind Railway wellbeing would be better understood by all and sundry who always make Railways a domain of one state or the other.

Look at all the trains that run in South India, and you will see they are pretty clean and well maintained. But if a train runs anywhere in the North, particularly Bihar, it will be a total mess. For world class stations, India needs world class people. We cannot do it even if people of a few states don't have basic decency.
