Karnataka CM BS Yeddyurappa hopes the state BJP crisis will end soon.

Ahead of his meeting with BJP central leadership, which has summoned him in the face of a revolt against him, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on Wednesday expressed hope that the impasse would end soon.

"All the confusion that has arisen now will come to an end soon," he told reporters here as he left for Hubli en route to Delhi for parleys with the party top brass over the turmoil in the BJP's first-ever government in the south. Ignoring BJP President Rajnath Singh's assertion that Yeddyurappa would remain the Chief Minister, the rebels led by mining magnets Tourism Minister Janardhana Reddy and his brother and Revenue Minister Karunakara Reddy were adamant on his removal.

"I will be meeting Janardhana Reddy and Karunakara Reddy in Delhi at the residence of senior leader Sushama Swaraj tomorrow", Yeddyurappa said. Swaraj has been asked to negotiate with the rebel leaders to defuse the crisis threatening the 18-month-old government.

Three rounds of talks Swaraj held with Janaradhana Reddy yesterday have failed to break the imbroglio as the rebel leader stood his ground, saying they would not settle for anything less than removal of Yeddyurappa, whose style of functioning has come under the attack of the dissidents.

When his attention was drawn to Karunakara Reddy's statement that the central leadership has not ruled out a change of guard, Yeddyurappa said, "What the high command says is important".

THE YEDDY SAGABy: R Sundar | 04-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Please do not believe Yeddy. He is the most corrupt politician around. He clung to the office of power even after there was a charge against him about the mysterious death of his wife. Now in Karnataka, he is having an illicit relationship with one of the Minister and this is the cause of heartburn between the Reddys and Yeddys. There are confirmed reports that Yeddy is trying to once again embrace JDS and has had a round of meeting with Kumaraswamy in this regard. If this coalition once again takes shape, then that will be the lowest depth to which our democracy would have shrunk. Pity the people of Karnataka who have the misfortune of a BJP Government under Yeddy. Having manufactured a majority through illegal defections, one thought that the Government would atleast be stable and now that is also not happening. Whatever said and done, I am sure that this will be the last time BJP will rule Karnataka.
our's is a democrtic countryBy: vinod | 04-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward as per our constitution any indian citizen has the right to live in any part of india, earn money and enter politics. if each person goes on differnetiating andhra's , kannadiga's tamilians or maharastrian's it will be a basic violation of fundamental right. as an indian we should live in peace and harmony.if Mr.santhosh has that much of regional favour , ask all kannadiga's not to visit thirupathi or other important places in andhra.
Karnataka CrisisBy: M.S.Kamath | 04-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Recent events in Karnataka, Maharashtra and Jharkhand amply show that politicians are least bothered about people. They are power-hungry to make fast bucks.
Reddys should go to Andhra if they cannot bear the rule of the Kannadiga YeddyurappaBy: Santosh Shetty | 04-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Reddys' original soil is Andhra Pradesh. If they cannot bear the reign of the indigenous Yeddyurappa and Kannadigas they should go to their soil. Karnataka is for Kannadigas, not for Teluguwalas,Hindiwalas, Gujaratis, Baniyans and Marwaris who are only migrants in our soil. Because of these outsiders' presence in our state only, we the indigenous inhabitants of our state are forced to go overseas seeking means of livelihood. Everything incuding houses was available in our city'Bangaluru' on very cheap prices, but now due to the influx of these outsiders, the life in this city has become miserable and everything is costly unaffordable to laymen.Leave us alone you outsiders. The Teluguwallas and other outsiders who argue that Karnataka was under the Telug-Vijayanagara rule in the medieval period, I pose the following question: so what?So too Tippu Sultan and Hyderali.Should we invite Afghans to rule our Kannadiga soil onceagain?
