A meeting of the BJP core committee will be held this evening to discuss the allegations of corruption against Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, party President Nitin Gadkari said here today.
We will discuss the matter and verify it,” Gadkari told reporters at the state BJP headquarters here.
Earlier today,Yeddyurappa — mired in charges of corruption and nepotism — dismissed reports that Gadkari and RSS were “unhappy” with him.
“The JD-S,under the leadership of Congress in Delhi, has repeatedly tried to destabilise the BJP-led Karnataka government,” Gadkari alleged.
Yeddyurappa has come under attack from the Opposition that is seeking his ouster over alleged land scams and has questioned the allotment of land to a firm, partnered by his two sons.
Meanwhile,Gadkari took on Congress and demanded a probe into the Commonwealth Games and Raja spectrum scams.
On allegations that he owned a flat in the controversial Adarsh housing society,Gadkari asserted,”I am not directly or indirectly connected with it. Let an inquiry take place.”
